Yes you read well, someone on eBay bid $121,212 on a brand new Canon EOS 1D camera. And this does not even include a lens!

| My only guess would be that the high bidder is a friend of his and he's hoping someone will try to outbid ... if not ... no loss. |

If you click on 'View seller's other items' you'll see that he has 221 items for sale - the majority of which have a bid of $121,212 on them ....
Methinks someone is having some fun with someone's eBay account.

Actually it would be quite a substantial loss. Ebay auctions include a final value fee where the seller pays a percentage of the final bid price.
