Issac is comming our way, the winds are whipping and jumping every direction. So some freakin' IDIOT decides to burn trash this afternoon.. and this is what happened.

Thank God for the Volunteer firemen out here in the toolies.

Two houses burn't to the ground as of right now, I've been standing in the smoke all afternoon with wet towels and shovels ( yeah and my camera) As of 10:30 pm it's still going, and still headed towards me. We are so dry, they get her some what contained and a whip of wind grabs a spark and throws it to another tree and another section of woods goes up. These pictures are over a 4 mile strech, not sure how many acers have burned, quite a lot. I won't be going to sleep until Issac starts dropping some rain on us!! First time I've ever lived under the threat of fire, it's scareing me to death! Right now it's about a mile from my farm. Horse trailer hooked and ready to load kids and run if we have to. Appreciate EVERY prayer you all could send our way!!!

Jeez... Fight with all your might, and leave if you must.

My thoughts are with you, I do not want to see another DPC'er lose their home this year.

Oh, Katie! That is awfully scarey. Best of luck - and get out sooner rather than later.

Oh Katie,

My dear friend, I do really hope you will get out of there safely, only wish good things to come your way my friend.

Take care, and pray for the best outcome~

Well Thanks everyone for all your positive engery... I watched her jump up again last night eeeks... but around 3am Issac started drizzleing on us, we haven't hand much rain 3/10th of an inch BUT wind laid down and humidity is HEAVY so it finally smothered out the little flames still dancing around last night.... End total, somewhere around 600+ acers burn't 2 houses lost and one fire man hurt... No deaths Thank Goodness

It is sad that two families lost their homes, but no lives were lost, and you are safe now. Thank you for the good news update.

Thank gawd for only minimal damage and we didn't lose one of my fave DPCers!! Hope the guy who decided to burn trash during windy drought conditions gets heavily fined.

Susan the idgit who started the fire by burning trash in the wind.. lost his house, boat and car.. (justice) One fire fighter (a freind of mine) got burned really bad and is in the hospital getting skin grafts, but he is awake and has a good attitued and is expected to be fine.

Issac has given us 1.09 inches thus far, not a lot but this little area is sooo grateful for anything! Thanks everyone for all the well wishes
