Alright, so I looked at all the housing options available. I wasn't about to spend more for the housing system than the camera, but I wanted the camera to be safe. In the end I went with the DiCAPac system for my Sony RX 100 and my Panasonic TM 750.

Before going to Thailand I tested out these 2 products. I should actually add this one

...but I'm not sure if that's the exact one my wife bought. She bought a camera and that system together. Anyways, I tested it out in our bath. I did everything to it by thrashing it around, through it up against the sides of tub to see if it would knock anything out of place. I saw air bubbles at one point, but those were the ones escaping from the Velcro and as time went on, there were no more bubbles to be seen. I did this test, as per the instructions, without the camera inside. I used tissues. All came out without a drop on them.

Before each venture into the water I made sure it was all sealed tight. I checked for leaks and found none on all my trips out to the water. The actual bags they were in were pretty durable. I'm sure they would tear open on some pretty sharp rocks, but it would take some pretty big gashes to get all the way through, and if you're in that kind of tide, I would be more worried about my body than the camera's body. By the end of the vacation I was very good at getting everything sealed away and had no worries about getting anything wet.

Now, the bad: There is NO way for you to see what you're taking pictures of. Because of that, I had my camera in P mode and my video camera with the screen flipped out against the body, which meant it had to be on the whole time I was in the water. This wasn't an issue with battery life, but in the water it would get very VERY hot for the video camera. I also didn't realized until the end that forcing as much air OUT of the bag would make things easier to push, like the on/off switch on the RX 100 or the mode dial. Still, I was shooting blind.

In the end though, I got some good photography and video. Well worth the money spent. Everything is still dry and I plan on using it at the pools or rivers close by. Definitely check to make sure you're product doesn't have a leak before using it. Otherwise, I say it's good at getting the job done, so long as you don't mind shooting in P mode and blind (I shot at the widest focal length)

Hope this might help others when deciding if it's the right system for you.

Thanks for the review. Just wanted to know which dicapac version are you using for rx100? Is it 560? I just got my rx100 and was looking for a dicapac bag for casual pool shots, but unable to find the fitting guide on dicapac web site for sony rx100.
