YES!! Awesome job on the description, it's super descriptive and should help to make the intent of the challenge clear. Thanks!

The joke, of course, is that I'm spending the next week on a mountain @ 12,000ft. *shrug* I'll try to get something. :)

A brief whine. I'm more than 2000 miles from any beach. I'll see what I can do. But, this will be a stretch for me in the mountains. I don't mind not shooting for a challenge. It's okay. Just want to comment that some challenges exclude.

From the description: "For the purposes of this challenge, a "beach" is any strip of land bordering a body of water, be it ocean, lake, pond, or river."

I think you've got quite a bit to choose from based on that, given what I've seen in your portfolio! :-)

Drat, also got back from a weeks hols by the sea a week ago.

The other thing that came to mind was Nevil Shute's post apocalyptic novel of nuclear holocaust. Maybe i'll go with that.

Yeah the description allows for a wide interpretation, but I still think that many voters will vote down images not taken at the ocean.

Here's another take on this:
On The Beach

Nuclear Armageddon would also seem to meet the challenge.

Yep! This is why I'm not going to enter this challenge.

No where NEAR a "legit" beach.

Why should that stop you? Do whatever feels "right" to you and the heck with the voters. Sometimes, with them, you hit, and sometimes you miss, but as long as you always please yourself you come out ahead in the game.

And Robert should know about having to use a wide interpretation...he is having to deal with the hidden rule that any images taken on Cape Cod will result in immediate disqualification. Bummer for him.
