I posted the lyrics to my entry in the additional info field. I believe that my score (as well as many others') would have been positively affected had this info been displayed (as I suggested) during the voting.
As it is, people are/were inevitably penalized for choosing to stay out of the most popular mainstream, whether by virtue of their selection being old, regional, topical, or otherwise unfamiliar to the majority of members. This, no matter how well the title actually represents the song, or how evocative of that title the photo might be.
I am curious as to whether others would support having the info field visible for certain challenges like this one...or even agree that it would have made any difference...

I'd heard of your song and the title gave enough information to see if it fitted your picture or not anyway, so I think in tihs particular case the extra info wouldn't have changed the outcome.

In lots of other cases I think the extra info would be a great help, perhaps explaining the technique used or for the journalistic entries to explain what was going on. I could see a 'illustrate a poem' challenge being possible if the text was viewable too - so I'd like to see it be something that could be turned on or off for particular challenges and probably it would have made sense for the song challenge to allow people to display the lyrics along side their pictures too.

I got seven comments, and four were from people who weren't sure "what the photo was trying to communicate."

I got a comment that had nothing in it about the photo at all. It was about the singer, and about the commentor's school days. I agree with the sentiment that seeing the lyrics would have been a good idea, but only if you were trying to illustrate the mood of the song, rather than the song title.

Anyway here are my other attempts at the challenge.
