my first go at this...looking at the comments thus far about low scores, I'm a little worried, that being said i really hope that the feedback i get will serve to help me better my photography. Any tips about proper etiquette on here is greatly appreciated...I don't wanna be "that guy" that says or does something stupid. obviously discussing photo content is a no no I assume. I guess its wait a week and see what happens. Hopefully I have found a new home. Overall great shots by the way.

You can discuss scores, but you can't identify or allude to images that are in voting, yours or otherwise.
Also, this thread has some good general stuff for new members.
Welcome to things- looks like the voting is pretty rough so far on this one, but the results tend to even out towards the end. Comment lots, it will improve your photography and help you be critical of your own work. Explain what you do or don't like about things. Ask questions readily, the forums are a great place to learn. Get accustomed to receiving feedback, and understand that people aren't trying to be hurtful when they criticize your photo. Lastly, always view your photo without the connection you feel for it, separate from its context, because that is how everybody else will be viewing it. This is especially suggested for shots of pets and children. Also, you won't always get comments, so you can post your photo afterward in the forums with a request for feedback, as well.

 Jaded_Housewife, good to see you back. I see  spiritualspatula is also in this thread. Tate's back and if he chimes in we could almost field an Imagenation team again right now!
Of course my entry is down too (and I was Sooooo pleased with it) but hope springs eternal, as they say.

What a ride and disparity of votes...
First 8 votes = 6.75
12 votes = 5.8333
Woke to a 16 @ 5.7500
and now at a 23 @ 5.6957
Not sure if the former or latter voters were the accurate ones... time will tell. |

Ha! I lost my youth many moons ago..lol. But i dropped the youth from the name a few years back. My stepson suggested housewife instead of youth, i guess it was his way of telling me I'm old. :) since hes now twenty with a baby of his own on the way i guess it's a good thing i changed it. It's hard to be a grandma and call yourself youthful.
As for my score...... Shamefull, and super embarassing.. Seriously, ive asked to self DQ. Ive never done that before but this one really merits it. I obviously need more practice before I jump back in the game this time. |

| I freakin knew it, I knew my score was going to suffer because people would think the bokeh was in the b/g as evidenced by my latest comment, unfortunately it's a not so insightful one word comment, the kind that just adds to your frustration... |
