Haiku is a very short form of Japanese poetry.
Create an image that photographically captures the essence of a haiku. The title of your image should be the haiku.

I think haiku capture the essence of photographs.
I accept the Wikipedia link in its wisdom. (I.E. whatever it says has greater authority than me - surprise). I would add that haiku does not fall foul of pathetic fallacy. It's not obvious how a photograph would do that either, but the tendency to lean on more or less literary cliches and norms is rife.
The old pond

infers nothing beyond that which it contains. |

I love the idea. But perhaps the haiku titles would be too long. How about the key/connecting word being the title, and the haiku being in the photographer's comment. In Raish's example, the title would be "Plop". |

Well, it'll keep the wife contented, if that's what you mean? They do love a little poetry now and again.

I'll +1 this challenge topic. I might write a poem about a Ninja. |

You mean "martial" and "marital" are not variant spellings of the same word? That explains a lot about how my life went wrong :-)
