In round 2, I will be going up against the very talented  PennyClick. I greatly admire her range and caliber of photography. If I have to lose to anyone, PennyClick is fantastic and will go on to represent the bracket well. |

Feel I dodged a bullet with  Silent-Shooter not able to get in an entry to oppose me in round one due to his Mom being in the hospital.
Very glad to hear from you your Mom was improving though Steve- maybe you will get me next time :) |

| Melethia I wish I could be giving you a better race but my entry is earning the smackdown with being waaaay below my average (-0.80). I trust yours is doing alot better than mine. |

Well you will just have to pick up the pace! I'm below mine by about 0.1 but have turned off scores for now. I live in an urban jungle so the next challenge is not particularly an easy one for me. Was hoping not to have to shoot for it! |

I was down .8 early this morning, but it's been clawing its way up- now down .3!
I'm up against Brent_S this round, I'm looking forward to seeing what fantastic image he has entered for this challenge! |

Unlikely, just got hit by a 1. I think the voters dislike it about as much as I do. Then there is the factor that some are voting because they think it is _______ . Oh, well did not want to muck up the title to explain 'it'.
And Urban Jungle - humph. I used to live in S.Cal there are plenty of beautiful places to go Deb....Descanso Gardens is the first thing that popped into my head. |

Seriously....gads......I am going to predict a wonderful knockout round for Bear_Music...he is up against me, and I seemed to have left my boxing gloves in the stinky public bathroom down the street.
But I meant to do that.....ya know....taking it easy on the older folks.

Very sweet of you to look forward to seeing what I might have come up with for the round Trisha :) I had a few images to choose from and chose the one that would at least add a different look to my portfolio (so a small win for me no matter the outcome). Clearly some voters are not liking my entry as it takes a big dive every time it starts to rise up :P
I think you better start looking for some Symetry shots, because I'm down .27 and would need a miracle now. Best of luck to you! :) |

Sadly, my Empty image is mostly empty of appreciation at -0.63 below my average. I'm a bit surprised, but I've been (negatively) surprised a lot recently. Unless I have a reversal of fortune over the next 6 days, it looks like you will advance. (I have some symmetrical nature shots readily available, so even though you will advance, I'll shoot for that very good challenge topic anyway.) |

I stayed up until 2 hrs before roll over and still couldn't get the image to a semi decent standard. In the end i didn't submit (Sorry)i kept looking at it and thinking i would give this 3 and that would be generous. |

Wait a minute, I had things off with my earlier response to you Trisha :P It appears we may have a tight race after all. I have never seen such an erratic score on an entry, but it appears mine wants to average about .3 below my average. Although I expect yours is likely still rising to a victory, it seems I should start thinking about a symmetry entry too- just in case :)

A .01 difference...Wow! I don't think some of the voters understood how much time and effort went into our images. It's not as easy as it may appear as a finished product. I'm going to add the original to my shot and some of the steps. It took hours just to get the set up right before even thinking about clicking the shutter.
