Of the four, I like the first one the best. It has a mystery about it. The evening sun lights up the grass nicely. The only thing I noticed is if you took it in portrait orientation, you could have gotten his/her feet in the picture. Nice job.
I'm sure everyone else will be welcoming you to the site as soon as they stop taking their pictures for the current challenges. |

The first one is the nicest, but you have captured the tone of all the images quite well. The third you might consider a tighter crop to pull the attention to the subject better -- that one just struck me as having potential.
Oh, and welcome to the site.

YOu may have oversharpened a bit, also. They look good, except in the hair with bright sunlight, it looks like there is a a bunch of haloing. You could try softening up those areas.

if the pictures are in your profile or port folio here at DPC yes you can add a link to them.
view the image you want, then up in the address bar you will see this
http: //www.dpchallenge.com/ portfolio_edit.php?IMAGE_ID=7730 ( i addes spaces to the link so you can see the text)
you want to copy the image ID number ONLY 7730, then when you post a message in the forums, there is a button right under your user name that for for inserting a "thumbnail link" and, when you click it it will pop up a box then you put the image ID number and click OK, this will insert your image like this and whenyou click it it opens up the full size image

James, she isn't a member yet (nudge, nudge to Anni), so she does not have a portfolio on DPC other than challenge entries. She has to supply the thumbnails herself, or use a photo hosting site that provides them for her.
I use Photobucket for posting images in forum threads even though I have webspace I could use for it. This was I don't have to worry about my removing the images and forgetting (or not being able to find) the forum threads I used the images in. Keeps the threads from having broken image links. They also provide thumbs so I don't have to make them.

bitannica...my sis is getting me a membership for my bday..she is the one that got me into all this!! i did just enter my first challenge so fingers crossed...another thing that has stopped me from becoming a member is that i don't have photoshop so i can't compete in member challenges cause I suck haha |

its the camera and the pics you take, not PS that makes you a photographer! |

that is what I think as well wolfie, but even from the sales agents in the photo store I get, 'oh you don't need that you can do that in photoshop' I feel a bit behind the times. The only reason why I bought a digital instead of a normal SLR was the LCD screen and that i could see my images right away rather than having to get things processed. I really want to be a photographer!!! BUT IT IS SSOOOO HARD..heheh but i love every minute of it |
