I have three shows at once, in three cities (well nearby cities) for the first time now!

I joined a local Photography club for the first time, and I have two canvases in their show at the East Greenbush library.
I have a show up at Uncommon Grounds in Albany (25 canvases)
I have a show up at Starbucks in Niskayuna (about 7 photos, including 3 regular framed photos for the first time)

Not that these seem to amount to anything in sales, but I have 52 canvases now! And in order to sell off the wall (I can't sell the canvases, because I have them made as samples to save money), I'm now focusing on building up a set of reuglar framed photos to show.

Here's some snaps (and I do mean *snaps* of the show). (I recommend anyone displaying take snaps like these for insurance purposes and just to remember what you hung!)

Uncommon Grounds in Albany (near SUNY)...

Starbucks (Niskayuna) [sorry, used my TZ3, bad indoor pics!]

(my previous shows at Starbucks, I put more photos up, but they have a new hanging system and I decided to go sparse).

I haven't seen the group show I'm in in East Greenbush yet, since I didn't have to hang it. I plan to go in the next week or so.

Here's the show I just took down though...I was up for two months in the local reform synagogue in Nisky. They had a nice reception too, but I didn't take pics.

I had 28 pics up I believe...

And a nice "local" section with my Schenectady pics:

Just wanted to share my excitement! Happy to hear comments and suggestions.

That's great! Congrats!
Hmmm... another goal to set. Perhaps? A LOOOOOOOONG term goal for me. lol.

Anyways, wish I was there to check it out. :(

But congrats on your shows! :)

Go Neil! Too bad you live so far away, or I would come out and check out the shows.

Are you making any money from all these shows? I remember you mentioned some other exhibits before. Is this a viable business or more a way to find a new audience?

Wow Neil, that's awesome.
Wish I could see it in person.

Not much...not yet. But the shows don't cost me anything except the time to hang them and take them down. And with 52 canvases and growing, I need somewhere to put them! :)

But I am guessing having a local presence for display is better than none at all. They are well received, but fairly expensive purchases...I sell the 16x24 canvases for $350. Maybe the second or third time someone sees it they'll decide to do something about it. And I don't know how many take my card (I should count what I put out) and maybe visit my website.

Neil, smiling wide here - what an amazing achievement and well deserved. Congratulations on having three going at once. It's an excellent idea as I think many photographers have terabytes machines and the like of their work but no physical items (canvas or otherwise) to show. I wish you great success.

Very cool. Nice job. Like Cuttooth said, I wish I could see them live.

Congrats Neil. I know what it's like to have images going everywhere to be shown...it's like sending your kids off to school for the first time...nerve wracking...but such a proud feeling.

Grand news, Neil. What you're doing is getting your name and your work out there.
There's something about seeing a familiar name along with good photography. Eventually,
something will click, and folks (buyers) will come knocking at your door.
