So very sad. Drove past the hotel where she died on our way to friends. We didn't know the news at the time.

What a loss.

wow...

What a shame that such incredible talent can end up leading to something like this.

Drugs the absolute scourge of society, what a waste of life for sure.

Nobody grows up with the idea, "I wanna be a crackhead!".

And when you're young and foolish, it can never happen to you.....

If you're lucky, you live.

Definitely a shame......a truly beautiful voice.

Merely a symptom of her condition, if you ask me. Which you didn't...

We all have one thing in common, we strive to be happy and the choices and directions we give to our lives no matter how ambiguous they are all have this one motivation at their source, unfortunately we are more than often wrong in our choices, when large amounts of money enters into the equation it means we have more power of choice and therefore much more of a chance of getting it drastically wrong. It could happen to any of us and probably has in a former life :) its a sad story but will we ever learn? the good things are free.

Never been a huge fan, really, but she was skill full, professional and respectful of her audience.
So, however she went, a life well spent under many respects.
I am not inclined remembering her as a crack head more than I would for Davis, Morrison, Coltrane, Ray Charles or countless others. Pity she didn't manage a fresh start as other did, but she still put her talents to good use.
