HEY... I see myself here :) Nice improvement. I think they just have to get rid of the smaller ones now :)

*As of this post, the smaller avatars were under the new ones*

I like it. I've been using the Greasemonkey script at home to display avatars, and find it makes it a lot easier to identify thread participants. There are some who may have fun with this concept and change their avatar hourly.

I also see the new spam button allows me to report my own posts as spam.

Edited to see if the monster size "updated" line has been changed.

Edited to say "nope"

I have them turned off, I don't like them, they're too big and I find they clutter up the board. Plus I like the old avatars, they let me know if you're a user or member.

I've turned them off. Clutter. I'd be even happier to get rid of the lens information, which I find gratuitous.

For me, that line isn't monster size. It's the same size as the other text, but italics.

I spent a lot of time this morning wandering through the forums just to see all the avatars LOL. I'm easily entertained.

I'm still trying to work out what line it is you're talking about.

It's the italicized date/time stamp that shows in your post after you make an edit.

We all have our own monsters, Mike.

The "message edited by author". Most other forums I am on have that in tiny text. Perhaps "monster" was a poor description of the size.

Haha! that would be me. Kind of like displaying my favorite photo of the day. It's faster to identify participants, some of the usernames I find difficult to pronounce in my head.

I update my profile pic in Preferences & the old one is still there in my Profile. ???

What does it mean,, *As of this post, the smaller avatars were under the new ones*??

Ahh, now I understand your post above, and feel slightly stupid :)

I think it means the little blue (or grey) head & shoulders images that we've always had next to our names.

I love seeing the profile pics, but why the lens info?
And why is everything NEXT to each other, taking up so much space?

Nice start, Langdon, but needs a little tweak, please.

Perhaps to avoid taking up additional lines of vertical (scrolling) space for a one-line post?

Woot, updated my avatar to celebrate. :)

Fair enough point. Hmmm..... rock and a hard place, huh?

I have not participated but I did change my image on my preferences. It, however, does not change on my profile page.

OOOPS! Sorry it does!

Yeah, it's a function of browser cache, I think. Good one!

Suggested CSS changes:

.forumpic {
margin-bottom: 5px;
}

.forumcam {
width: 100%;
}
