A footing on something really heavy, with a steel bearing that can be used as a wheel to move it.

Either that or a smoke alarm that has be used for it's intended purpose :)

A rubber foot on the bottom of a piece of furniture.
03/23/2012 07:22:07 PM · #1963
No, not on furniture. It actually sits on top of something bigger...
03/23/2012 09:25:27 PM · #1964
some kind of burner
03/23/2012 09:51:30 PM · #1965
A step point, where it's safe to put your foot on top of something like a RR car or engine?
Second guess, you lay steel plate on it to roll it into a saw or plasma cutting rig or machine tool?
03/23/2012 09:52:18 PM · #1966
No, not a burner.

Waddy, you are VERY close - it is a step, but onto / into what? Can you be specific?

No, though there is a specific reason for this "step" on this particular vintage vehicle.

Is it a foot operated switch?
03/23/2012 10:24:36 PM · #1972
Nope, doesn't move at all...
03/23/2012 10:51:25 PM · #1973
lighter?
03/23/2012 10:53:28 PM · #1974
High-Beam switch on a floorboard?

Never mind, I see it "doesn't move at all"...
