Last night I went to Knockhill Racing track to watch some Stock Car racing. Using the TV Mode I got some good panning shots. Unfortunately when I checked the photo's today I've noticed how dirty the camera sensor has now become.

So, I've bitten the bullet and put my camera into the local camera shop to be sent away to CANON to be cleaned.

TRAGEDY: I'm now without a camera for 2 - 3 weeks :-(

NO SURPRISE: My wife has already started to make a list of jobs she wants done around the house and garden.... :-(

REQUEST FOR HELP: How can I fool 'my darling wife' into thinking i'm still the busiest man around and avoid the 'jobs list'?

QUESTION FOR SITE COUNCIL: Can we have a 'dummy' update button created on the site for me to play with until I get my camera back? I think I might go insane without one!! Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

GOOD NEWS: I get a new car tomorrow, so that might help fill the time. :-)

ho hum....

Poor Tony! But seeing you have some spare time on your hands now, how would you like to wash my car for me?

Totally wrong approach, Dear. Do the stuff on your wife's "Honey-do-list". Not only will that help get your mind off your itchy shutter finger but when you get your camera back, she won't complain [as much] about you spending too much time taking photos.

Congrats on the new car! What's it gonna be?

Word of warning about this model Tony. I`ve heard the engine cuts out if you travel any further west than Queensferry !!!

Tragedy is difficult to photograph and therefore more suitable for a writer than a photographer like you.
Surprise your wife by pleasing her (you may not get another chance soon/after all, in two weeks you have your camera back).
Never fool a wife, especially not into thinking, unless of course she's somebody else's wife.
I'd suggest a soother from a dollar store, in the event the admins refuse your request.
You have too many toys and not enough negative capability. Give the keys to your wife and enjoy the expression on her face.

Think thats very true. Earn some credit now. You can spend more time when it comes back without as much complaining and you might even be aloved to bye some new glass or accesories.

Absolutely! I know whereof I speak... My poor husband is convinced that the key to getting more of my attention is to have an lcd implanted somewhere on his person. But then I fulfill some request, like a backrub for example, and suddenly that new [insert whatever drool inducing wigit here] isn't such a big deal. It's magic I tell ya ;-)

So......todays tasks on the "List of Things to Do" were:
1) Paint garden fence
2) Paint garden wall
3) Help with shopping

All successfully completed.....phew!

I'm beginning to feel the effects of "life without a camera" syndrome, and it's only been 2 days so far.
