| About 1995 or 1996 I think, there was a comet/asteroid that passed by the Earth and was visible as it passed by in the sky for either a couple of days/weeks. I think it was during the summer but I can't remember. Does any remember this event and the name of that particular comet/asteroid? |

That was Hale-Bopp, a comet.

Yup... Just a few miles up the road from my golf club at the time, in Rancho Santa Fe...
