with all this portrait +1and street shot topics, why not a self portrait on the street, or in a crowd. is it possible?

Too close to the same type of challenge. I say wait a few months then suggest it. May get a good response then.

how about some challenges were we take pictures of other stuff instead of ourselves.

I guess a self-portrait in a crowd is possible but dangerous for your equipment: a crowd would likely knock out your tripod :)

I'd hate to shoot this one, but I think this would be a fun one to vote on.

I like the idea but too many portrait challenges lately. Although I have a great Idea for this one ;)

See, that's what I think about "table-top" challenges. Every time there is a noun as a challenge (aka: wine, grains, etc), I see that as basically a table-top challenge, unless you're really creative and can make it into a conceptual challenge. I think the portraits are refreshing. Sorry, I didn't mean to target you, but you gave too perfect an opportunity for me to complain about the table-top challenges : )
