Would anyone here know if you can use extension tubes with the Nikon D70? I am getting conflicting information on this matter. I have not used extension tubes before, but I am interested in trying them. If it is possible to use them with the D70, what brand/kind would be best?

Thanks,

Ursula

What is your objective of having extension tubes?

I don't have the D70 but I do have a set of ext. tubes made by Kenko and I can't imagine that they don't make a set for Nikons. Check Adorama and B&H - I'll bet they can hook you up.

I really get a kick out mine - lots of fun for macro stuff without a big expense. I especially like using them with my 50mm lens.

Good luck :-)

Yep, you can use extension tubes witht he D70, there are multiple posters over at DPReview's "Nikon D70" forum with examples. The Kenko set is widely regarded as a good value; decent quality, very good price. They have metal mounts, but a plastic barrel. I have one Kenko tube, and IMO the quality is quite acceptable.
