Opened up my Aperture 3 Library today to do some editing, and it popped up with some screens then said it was repairing something... now all my libraries are blank folders, or they have random thumbnails of a few misplaced photos... but I check my library and all the real images still exist in the uber-complex million-foldered format Aperture keeps them all in... So here I sit trying to repair and restore not getting any good results the way the help docs/forums say you should...

Anyone got any ideas?

I HAD a backup drive, Ironically I just shifted externals and was meaning to backup this weekend... shoulda' gotten to that sooner I know, in the meantime any knowledgeable, helpful & relevant advice on the subject would be good.

I'm sure you haven't lost anything really if you can find the images on your hard drive. Sounds like you are working managed rather than referenced?

I don't have time to scroll through the user forum to find the answer, but I find this resource to be excellent when having problems with Aperture (or just when you want to learn how to do something). Create a profile and post the question there. The guy who runs it is super helpful and will I am sure come up with the answer.

Thanks! That does seem like a good site, for now I have tried all the forum answers and nothing is working... Reset, rebuild, rename library+re-connect, check filters, etc... No idea what is going on.

On another note, I noticed your Username :) I was in Finland a few years back and I remember having Apteekin salmiakki the black candy, and also the black drink mixer in shots! haha

Thanks,

Nick
