Perhaps sadly, I claim the same. :) Although I gotta admit, my musical tastes reach further into the 70's than one may expect, and I never looked good in neon.

FWIW, I'd love to see this challenge done. :)

I love some 70s too: Led Zeppelin, some of 70s Bowie, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Moody Blues, and others. I know some of them were 60s as well, but they still had 70s hits!

As for the 80s, that was MY decade and I miss it! I watched MTV premier when i was just 4 years old. I was raised by very music-oriented parents who loved rock and alternative. I was dressed in pastel for years, then neon. I love neon and i like how it looks on me more than I do clothes from Gap or Old Navy. I have fond memories of the things of that decade. I nod yes to most of those "you know you're an 80s kid if..." bullets. I would LOVE to do an 80s challenge!

Seems like we have much in common... minus the parents... mine are european, and they never much cared for the pop tunes of the 70's and 80's. :)

Seems unlikely though... in all the time I've been following these suggestions, I've only seen them come up once or twice. I'll have my fingers crossed none the less... and that it's an open challenge!

I think it would be fun even if they did a "DECADE" challenge where you had to show a human dressed in clothes and surrounded by items from your favorite decade and label the photo with what decade it is. I'd be up for that too!

And proud of it. Born 12/09/80. I hate fashion trends.

Okay, I am sharing some of my family album with you all... You will notice some of the photos are actually of the early 90s (but stuck in the 80s). And one is of my beautiful mother (in memoriam) from 1979... very very 70s!!!

You have got to be kidding! The 80's were actually sandwiched between lame decades.

Hey Arielle, who let you into my closet back in '87???

LOL

I wish I had pictures of me in full late-80's regalia...but I was a bit camera-shy back then. Plus I had that whole introverted, dark "The Cure" thing going on... ;o)

note to self...combat boots, fishnets, and aqua net hairspray REALLY aren't all that attractive together...

I remember when Falco died. I was crushed. I am such an 80's child. My husband tells me to "get over it" :o). I cant, I am hooked.
My fave band was Duran Duran. Oh my god!!! John Taylor was such a hottie.

I can remember being a 14 year old girl and I was so determined that I was going to meet and marry John Taylor. When they came to Australia I was so bummed that my mum wouldnt let me go see them. I thought how on earth is he ever going to get to meet me. LOL, what a young foolish mind. Those were the days.
