Oh, you forgot me, I'm on the East coast in Boston.
My nephew is home and ok. Thanks for all the positive thoughts. He's has a lot of muscle tightness in his back but that's it, he was lucky.
His car was totalled and he's has a 45 min. drive to work so not sure what's he's going to do about that. Some real life lessons going on for him.
A question for the team, I'll have to think about that and see what I can come up with. |

Whoops, I relocated you to Michigan. Sorry about that.
:(
Glad to hear your nephew escaped his car crash with just life lessons to learn rather than bones to knit or worse.

what is it about Macinaw Island? that makes three of us who own to having visited there. My arrival was one I'll never forget. There is a regularly (!) scheduled air flight to the island and it seemed a lark to travel that way. So, getting rid of the rental car after exploring upper Michigan, and striding into the airport there my buddy and I were. Confronted with a nice guy who was acting as ticket agent, baggage handler and pilot. Escorting us to this cute little 6-seater craft he invited us aboard, skipped the seatbelt and oxygen lecture and took off into the blustery weather. With the wind tossing this way and that, we eventually sighted the Island landing strip. This was the very first time I wished the runway was ----wider---- rather than longer. But he aimed his airship correctly and offloaded us and our baggage. We were eventually picked up by a nice little horse and buggy that delivered us to our hotel. It is a beautiful little gem of an island. And yes, we flew out again a week later.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Becky reminded me that we met a while back (2007) at a DPC-GTG at Point Reyes Seashore, north of San Francisco. One of my pictures might show Becky. Are you the pretty lady, 3rd from Left? And yes, I do remember you!

I love Mackinac Island! I don't go often but I'm really only a little over an hour from the island. |

But that's west Boston, right??
I'm so glad your nephew is going to be o.k. Those life lessons are tough for everyone in the family as well. Will continue to hope for a speedy recovery for him, and not too difficult resolutions to the challenges he's facing.
