Ouch Patsy!!! Take care of it please. No infections or anything okay?
Wow. You have connections to all of us in some way or another. Very cool!! We are an AWESOME group of gals aren't we?
Okay so the next question now is what type(s) of software do you use for editing. This way we kind of know how to give editing tips for our shots.
I almost always use lightroom for everything. But, occasionally I will use CS3 (haven't felt the need to upgrade yet). When I do use CS3 it's usually just for a border or if I need to combine images or something like that.
I sometimes tend to over process so if you ever fell that an image of mine has gone too far... please tell me. |

Patsy, you have an amazingly busy life :) I hope your foot is OK. Great to have you aboard.
Left 2 comments Sheryll.
Off to see if I can find an abandoned bldg - no luck this morning. Normally I don't bother shooting for a specific challenge but I need the practice - wish me luck.

Well, I use about any toy that comes along. At present I have upgraded to Windows 7, CS5.1 (32bit) and soon must upgrade my Windows 7 to 64bit, which requires a clean install and more memory. Meanwhile, I put up with 'out of memory' nonsense even with 4 Gig of RAM. I did one other clean install a couple of years ago when Vista went south on me, and it was a major PITA, so am delaying the inevitable as long as possible. In addition to CS5.1, I use Nik's filters, especially Viveza 2, Color Efex & silver Efex. I have Topaz, and use it sparingly, usually not on Challenge images as it is easy for me to go overboard/illegal with it. I never got the hang of Lightroom so uninstalled it a long time ago.

This is cool! Sorry I haven't been joining in. We have our Nautical Festival (nauti-fest) in our little town the 2nd-7th of Aug. I had 11 friends and family members staying at my house this weekend!! We had so much fun! I don't drink often but I really did it up this weekend and I'm still paying for it!
I use cs2, Paint Shop Pro XI, and Photoshop Elements. My favorite filter is Lucisart. Love it!
PS...Congrats Denise!! |

Hi Teammates, thanks for all the great comments on my FS. A nice surprise to wake up to this morning. But all put in perspective as my 20 yr old nephew was in a car accident last night. He was conscience the whole time and his Dad was with him in the ER. I've had no news since then so I assume no news is good news in this situation.
Sheryll, I hope your score climbs steadily all week.
Terry, hope you feel better soon. |

Denise, *hugs* ... please keep us updated. I will be keeping him in my thoughts and prayers.
Sheryll, how is your entry doing this morning? Mine went down to the 5.2 range around 4AM my time - it's climbing a bit now and is at 5.7 and change. Thanks for the lovely comment though.
Hi Terry - that must have been fun - sometimes a headache is so worth it :)
Alice - how is your entry doing? Wait, don't tell - it will bomb (grin)
I should read the FB page first before posting in here.

I can't get to the FB page while at work, so I'll post the more public stuff here and wait to get home for the rest. (Lunch hour comments now, the rest later.)
I put in a shot at the last 1/2 hour for Abandoned Buildings. I should have abandoned all hope before putting it in. It's trying for bottom 3 score, which is where it belongs. It's a good thing I'm getting into practice again before we start competing.
Denise, your ribbon entry is beautiful. I'm hoping the best for your nephew.
I'm sorry about the guinea pig - this sweet critters become part of the family.
The fair sounds like so much fun - and work. Well done.
Lots of family in the house is sooooo fun but draining.
Take care,
Becky |

Okay So now I want each of you to ask your own question of the team. If you can't think of anything that's okay we don't all have to do it. I just want to give you each the opportunity to ask something of everyone if you want to. (Besides I'm running out of things to ask I think). We don't have to keep this up if you'd rather not. I just figure by asking questions then it gives you a topic to discuss and a reason to post something and the ultimate goal is to get to know each other better. |

LOl - no question, but an observation.
We have two members from Michigan,
one each from Colorado, Utah & Idaho
and two from California.
And we play in the western division of the WPL.
Yep, we're in the right league.

From the WPL thread....

One I create the WPL thread we all can discuss and make a determination on what date works best for the majority.
Thanks everyone for participating. My goal with the WPL is to try to give back to a site and it users that have done so much for me. I know I don't have a camera right now but one day I will and all the skill each of you have taught me, I will put to good use. I also hope the WPL will inspire people to enter more often and learn. Yes, it's nice to win but if you don't and yet learn from others...you have won. And the winner, they also learn for everyone else. Let's have fun with a little competition.
Thanks,

So what date do you guys think? |

Well for me personally, I would like it the latest in September as possible hehe.... don't get me wrong, I can and will contribute from Canada but it's easier to shoot for a challenge and do the editing where you live .. not sure what programs my son has on his computer .. know he has CS5 - anyway .. other than hoping for a late date because I am self centered and nasty :>)it doesn't matter to me.
... never mind
