UPDATE: WPL START DATE
The official start date will be on August 28th, 2011.
Starting with the Sunday Nights Member Challenge announced at Midnight.

Teams that have not made a logo and wish to do so can post in this thread from now till the 28th. I will post it to you team page. Thanks to the teams that have already post their Team Logo. Team logos are not required but suggested.
I will be working on the final macros now that I have almost all the team names and participant's so everything will be ready on the 28th. Anyone participating in the WPL, feel free to PM me if you have a question. Thanks to all the captains for your hard work in getting your teams together.

| Maybe all the latecomers can form a team... Lol but I think everything has been done and the doors have been closed. I'm a sleeper on these things and I'm not surprised. Will sit on the bench and enjoy watching and maybe take part next year. |

The team you are referring to, yes there are two lines that state TBA. The first line is a users spot and sekarmalathy has filled that spot for about three days. The second TBA is NOT a users spot but where the team name goes. The team has not confirmed there team name so I have left it TBA and have not updated there team page (last users and team name) until the captain lets me know the team name. It is easier to do one update than two.

EDIT: If anything changes I have a list of everyone that has interest in joining. I will go down the list and PM those users if any opening (users or team) occurs.

I have a question.
So once the WPL starts, is this like DPL in that we can submit to all challenges in the week, and only our highest score counts? Or is it only the Sunday challenge?
And how many of the photographers scores count towards the total?
Sorry if this has been said before. I find it easier to just ask rather than read through the 17+ pages |

Thanks for the information that I've been waiting on from the team captain for a couple of days now. I've heard from another team member that there might be some personal issues in the way of moving forward. Still, I've had a great team experience twice in DPL and if this team is off to a slow start in getting organized it might not be worth the frustration anyway.
Although I indicated my interest very early in this thread (post # 13) I missed out because I was on vacation and was out of contact for a week.
So.....nobody thought to save me a spot? No problem...I'll be my own one man team with the goal of denying as many ribbons as I can to those teams who didn't pick me up. How's that for a personal challenge? Let the games begin ;) |

Can we open up an 8th spot on all teams? I'm betting there are enough members out there who would like to play to justify the spot.

Each week a Member can enter up to three challenges (Sunday Night, Tuesday Night, and Thursday Night) and a Registered User can only enter the Tuesday Nights challenge. Those are DPC rules as I understand them.
Lets say you enter all three challenges that week. Your highest scoring challenge will be the challenge that may count toward your teams score. I say may because your high score has to be one of the top four scores on the team. Out of the seven team players the top 4 scores out of the to 7 counts toward the team average which is divided by 4. A team member can only have one of the top 4 averages.
I hope that helps answer your question. I'm going to try to come up with a guide to the WPL that will help everyone understand how their score effects their teams score, etc.
Thanks for everyone's patients as I put this together. And if anyone has any questions feel free to post. I will follow up with answers as soon as possible.
