I'm not sure, Ben, but I think he just called you a douche.

Hehehe... Damn Don. :)

+40 (oh sorry, I thought this was Ben's Birthday thread)

I absolutely love this idea... melethia is one of my heros!

At least you left the sturgeon out of it.

Oh goodness, I've been offline for 2 days and look what pops up.

YES. YES. YES. Deb has been one of my favourite photographers on DPC for a long time. Long before I met her in person.

I approve... what a great idea!!

First Ben's challenge, now Deb's ..... A case of serious butterflies in my stomach.
Fantastic.
Is this a SC or do we wait for a blessing?
On a personal note, Deb took me by my hand and showed me a bit of the way around this site, and then put me in her favorites.
Can I ask for more?!

Post it twice by mistake. No harm in that I hope. A case of shaking hands .....

OK. So I think Mariuca approves. ;)

It's a challenge suggestion.

The National Baseball Hall of Fame is having their 2011 inductions ceremony today. Too bad DPC doesn't have one because Deb would easily make it on the first ballot. I don't know if she's a baseball fan so I'll put it in cycling terms:

2 time Tour de France winner (blue ribbons)
5 time TDF runner up (red and yellow ribbons)
402 races (challenges)
275 king of the mountains white and red dots jerseys (photographer favorites)
1,487 stage wins (photograph favorites)
33,282 times coaching other riders (comments)
Countless other awards including the life time achievement award (Dr. Confuser's DPC Body of Work Award)

If that isn't HOF worthy I don't know what is. She's clearly in a class of her own.

Aww, thanks, Richard! And yes, I understand TdF far, far better than baseball. Lovely ride they had into Paris today - one of these days I'm going to be there to watch it in person.

I will say that my greatest accomplishments here aren't my own photographs (though I generally do like what I shoot, or I'd not bother!) but in the friendships I've made and the other photogs I've seen bloom. It may irritate me from time to time, but DPC really is a pretty nice place to hang out. I should know. I've been here long enough... :-)

Any progress getting Lord Langdon and the Langdonettes to act on this fantastic idea?

what what a great idea, and a great choice for the first baton pass (not knowing much about neither baseball nor cycling, let me use a relay analogy :)). Deb and I joined DPC within a couple of weeks of each other in December 2004, and all this time (almost seven years, scary!) she has been a constant source of inspiration and support for me. We grew together as photographers, and I have been much affected by her street-shooting sensibilities, as I am sure many-many others. Am really fortunate to have met Deb in person on a couple of occasions. Looking forward to having this fine idea implemented, and hopefully soon!

I was only impatient in that I gave into the urge to put "Lord Langdon and the Langdonettes" into a post.

And why doesn't DPC have a Hall of Fame?! I like this idea, and Deb should definitely be in it!
