Hey all, I'm just looking for some last minute tips here... I'm going to photograph some wakeboarders are a water park and I've got a few questions on panning.

What are the best settings for panning with allot of light??? Its really sunny today and while I have done panning before, its been awhile. As I remember it, It was usually somewhere between f13-16 at iso 100 and trying to get the shutter speed down to around 1/60... Does that sound about right??? Lastly, what autofocus setting should I use to get the maximum amount of shots in focus??? I have a Nikon D200 if that helps... Thanks in advance

I think you should manually pre-focus on the lane/plane through which they'll pass.

If there's a lot of water around you might try using a polarizer; optimize it for where you'll be clickign the shutter, not where you start the panning motion.

If there's a bright sky and a lot of glare, you may have to overexpose if you want to see the subjects' features. You could possibly underexpose if you want to try for some artsy silhouettes. With water and sun I think it's a lot like shooting in snow settings -- if no one else can help, you might try searching for previous threads with tips on that.
