This is a sepia toned image. To have added more sepia color... saturation or intensity... would have created a distracting element. I'll always choose the subtle approach.

I think some people need to calibrate their monitors, as this is a sepia toned image. If they are seeing only shades of gray, it's their monitor.

OR, it could be my monitor. At any rate, I could have punched the sepia tone so everyone could see it. But, anything beyond the sepia tone I used looks terrible to me. Here are the sepia and the grayscale side-by-side. It's a dramatic difference on my monitor. I have no idea why good people are not seeing the difference.

I see the difference. Gave it a 7. But then again, I'm not good people.

The backstory on my photo...

Here is the original diner...

As it was five years ago, before closing and being turned into a used car lot...

A historical landmark, illegally demolished, stopped just in time by the police...

The rest is History, as they say... Bob's Big Boy took it upon themselves to restore it, and what you see is portrayed in my original image...
