I think if I did a title in my native language, it would be considered clipart and disqualified 8-)
One of my favourite bands is Sigur Rós and I don't understand their titles or what they say; ágætis byrjun - I have no idea what it means, but I love the album cover and the tracks. |

ágætis byrjun would translate as "a good start" or something like that ...

I think I will skip this one too, due to the language problem and lack of inspiration.
Unless off course I can come up with a nice bandname that fits a macro of a flower... |

Don't let a language barrier hold you back!! Do something in your native language and just put the English translation in the title.. i.e.: "Dnklnhf Pjdkshgk Ckmfdhpojetkldg (English: Small purple toes)"
This way you can stick with the language you know best, but you won't alienate the English speakers :) |

I'm so happy I can use icelandic in this challenge. But I have a little problem finding that "C" word! |

No that's crap. But we could perhaps use the word "krapp" but I don't think that would meet the challenge.
But it's doesn't matter since we can usually know some "c" word in English around here.

OK ... text can be added but to what extent can we make it like a logo and with a bit of art work or just plain text?

Personally, it seems as though for this challenge, if you can build it in your Photoshop file, it is probably OK, as long as it clearly appears to be an element on top of the picture, and not an attempt to be an element of the picture. Take some text, render it, and distort it -- that should be OK.
I predict there will be two camps of voters, those who vote down all but the simplest textual additions, and those who vote up well-rendered graphic designs ... |

Has anybody thought of anything somewhat "sexual" for the challenge? Just making sure I'm not the only one with a weird sense of humor for this challenge. I thought I was going to sit it out..but I don't think so anymore...It's gonna be fun!

We've only added permission for text, not artwork. I'd say stick with text.

Ooooh... a conceptual challenge with photography, copywriting and Photoshop. Somebody pinch me! This is the first time in about 20 challenges that I've submitted before deadline day. Should be interesting to see the votes on this one. ;-) |

It'll be fun to submit in a full frame for once! Erm, full frame for DPC that is (640x640)

Eight hours to go and only 68 submissions. Top 100 here I come!
I've had more fun with this challenge than any previous one. Like scalvert this is the first one I got submitted before the last few hours. In fact a couple days ago. Figured I wouldn't sleep until I had it in.
I can't wait to vote on this one too :) |

i'm not being very original, but i have to agree with both these comments. this has been my favourite challenge for two principal reasons:- a) the general free scope with regard to choice of subject and b) the post-editting side seems to have more of a design slant to it this week, which personal appeals greatly... the least fun part is the difficulty in choosing between five very different sleeves i've produced - all of which i quite like and i want to submit them all!
i have also discovered my dream job in life - sleeve designer! i'm going to pack in the quantity surveying drudgery, and go design 12 x 12" packets!

I have to admit I had fun with mine...once I found a photo I liked I just had to ask the deranged man in the house for a title...lol...oh his title was good.
