I'm all for windows!!!!! Very cool, and very "vogue" right now! :-) "Telephone", too. I think someone a while back mentioned a challenge to imitate your favorite song.... but I was thinking "Music" in general.

Hey!
Although I''m late to the party, let me chime in.
Like that people are warming up to the ''specific subject'' challenge. I first suggested it IN THIS THREADand it''s come up a few times since, but never really picked up steam. i think there''s also a long list of suggested subjects in that thread.
To be honest with you, I think that with a ''specific subject'' challenge, there are going to be a few stellar standout interpretations, and then many rather literal ones...
But on the plus side, people who have a hard time thinking of ways to make something common and prosaic interesting will have to stretch, and will get a lot of good ideas, especially during voting, when they see what clever ideas others have submitted.

Once again, why not try "Song Titles"? The ultimate photograph illicits a dramatic emotional response from the viewer as does the ultimate song illicit dramatic emotional response from the listener.
Why not merge the two into a challenge?
I think it would be interesting to see which songs people see in life and are able to capture with their photographs or which photographs people create for their interpretation of a song.
Just my two cents worth ...

That''s why I thought Music would cover more. You could use a song title to interpret, you could photograph musicians/instruments/musicals/etc....
I see where this would be broader than the subject of this thread, but it was just an idea.

I wonder how well song titles would interpret into a photograph if the viewer was not familiar with the song? |
