Reminds me of the HCB challenge. I had thought about driving up to Paris, TX (they actually have an eiffel tower of sorts) but then realized it was much further than I had thought. |

Just because it's allowed doesn't mean you have to use it. I enjoy seeing what creative minds and great tools can accomplish. If I were king, we'd have at least one a month expert editing challenges. |

If you'll notice too, there has been one of every genre lately, so those who want minimal, basic, advanced or expert, all get a shot at it pretty often. |

Why??? You don't have to use it. The last blue ribbon could be entered in Basic Editing!
I personally love it. It is a great motivator for me to learn Photoshop. The timing could not be better!!!
You can improve your photos significantly if you have freedom to removing clutter and unwanted elements, do any kind of spot editing. But I guess that is more a problem for natural outdoor shots than setups and studio shots when you have full control over the environment. |

The Thursday challenges seem to be either expert or minimal. I like it. Something for both the 'shoppers and the purists.

| Instead of just the title of a song, I like to capture the essence of all of it, but if you aren't familiar with the song, I guess that won't matter. I have one I really like but with my current 4.9 for Silhouette, I'm afraid to stick my neck out again. LOL |

Also, keep in mind that the last winner did not utilize expert editing...so don't think you cant win if you're not a PS guru!

I've been listening to country western since the mid 70's and I have never considered Bonnie Tyler to be country, nor have I heard her on country radio stations.

I'm in with advanced editing, and will probably get trounced by the expert. Simply because they're incredibly creative and unique.
It's not that I'm against expert editing -- I'm just not creative. If I had a cool, funky idea to do with my shot, I'd do it! :D
It'll be interesting to see what people come up with -- the last expert editing challenge had some awesome stuff in it!
(I didn't do the artist's name. It is a thought...)
