Just wondering if anyone has used a swatchbook for photo filters? I know GamColor has a 4x5" book that would be of a perfect size. Regardless I'm sure that they would make great flash filters.

When I was working on a "digital filter set," I went and pulled several swatches from home depot that I figured would match the color (WB) I wanted. THe thing is...you need the exact opposite color that you want the cameras WB to compensate for. So I did it through PS (inverse). This is like the "warmming cards" I have sen for sale elsewhere.
I guess you could figure which color you want, shoot it and then inverse it also. A problem that comes with it is the amount of the effect versus the strength of the color (if you were able to control the percentage like in the PS CS photo filter adjustment...which I am finding is much easier to use now.)

Complimentary colour pairs, with varied saturation lets you control strength and easily work out which colour effect you'll get (meter on one, get the effect from the other)
