Yes, I know exactly how you feel. I feel the same about my entry (I used it as a learning example in my Photoshop tutorials :)

Well the hate meter began climbing so I -just- -couldn't- leave it!

Luckily, the husband brought home a prop today so I fired off a couple of shots before the light faded. Uploaded the photos and then switched out the ugly << :-) blur with blur :-) >> in the last hours before rollover:-)

I bet all the effort will result in a mid-pack placement....oh well, I learned a lot from this week and it was definitely challenging.

It does suck, Richard, if anybody should enter, it's got to be you, from what I've seen, you are the best master of "digital arts" on DPC.

Not just on DPC...as I'm sure he would do well on any site given the time.

He's just too busy leaping tall buildings...;-)

Bummer, I did not get to "fix" the image as I would have liked, just did not have the time! Work getting in the way... oh well

You guys are silly. Besides, leaping isn't my super power.

"Show us a shot that you believe is so unique that we've never seen anything like it at DPC"

where is the UNIQUE SHOT in most of the photos?
I see a lot of UNIQUE expert editing. nothing else.

Most of you love [DELETED], but NON of you, as well on DPC, ever saw when the [DELETED] became [DELETED]......... that's is UNIQUE

I'll repeat a portion of what I said in the score thread:

Taken from DPC's Voting Guildelines:

You Should:

keep an open mind to other interpretations of the challenge topic.

This is an Expert Editing Challenge:
so Basic, Advanced and Expert edited photos can ALL meet the challenge provided it meets the topic description.

Plenty fall into the trap of only seeing in a restricted way. When an individual places limitations that do not exist in the what IS allowed under the Challenge then those individuals limit themselves. It is amazing what one can do with combining several photos together - just take a stroll through Visual Puns II , Extreme Supermoon, Halloween Song Titles or Mythical Creatures

All of those entries had the choice to go with either Basic Editing, Advanced Editing, or Expert Editing ....and all of those types of editing ARE allowed: whether they were effective or well done in their editing plays into judgement of technicals and composition.

You can use any Editing level you want, but on a UNIQUE SHOT ..... not UNIQUE EXPERT EDITING.

That's your interpretation and you can certainly vote according to that. I am taking it as using any level of editing you like to create an image of something unique. If that means making something up that does not exist in reality, I find it is within the spirit of the challenge. The idea was to have fun and be creative. I am not entered in this challenge, BTW.
