Shot some pics of an Icelandic Death Metal band the other day ....

Photographically speaking, ahem, ;) I would maybe try to style it up a little more -- if any band ever cried out for under exposure and strong overhead lighting, this is the one.
The tones are too smooth, too evenly -- too nicely, really -- lit: I'd go for the drama and mood that is achieved by either a technically bad photo (underexposure) or a good photo with bad lighting (single source, top-lit, un-difused). |

| All are pretty good. I think I'd use shot #3 but darken the background, crop tighter and landscape format. After that increase the contrast and lighten the two guys in the back. I tried it in PS and it looks pretty cool. (Just my opinion.) |

You know, after pondering it for a while, "Icelandic Death Metal" sounds like a band name in and of itself...

Hey thanks for all the comments on those!
on the request of the band members I removed them from here at least until the album is relased coz these might be used in the booklet.
btw the bands name is Withered!

| great shots. to me they kind of have an afi look going on (although i'm sure they sound more like slayer or possessed). any of these shots would work for a cd cover/insert or poster. nice work. |
