Yesterday our honeysuckle bush was taken over by bees. Didn't even want to go sit in the backyard, it looked like an angry swarm. Then today I got a Tamron 90mm and decided to try it out, but there's not a bee in sight. Not even in my neighbors huge garden. It's like they know....

I've also found that putting on a macro lens to shoot a flower is a sure-fire way to get the wind to blow.

I can turn a red stop light to green simply by picking up my smartphone......I really can. For a while I thought I stumbled upon some kind of cool app.

Yeah I bought a really nice wide angle lens for the thunderstorms that roll through here, and haven't had a good since. There have been a few but only when I'm stuck at work.

I figure to hire myself out as a "consultant" to wind farms on still days ... ;-)

I believe DPC can control the weather. If there is a "Sun" challenge it will rain all week. If there is a "Rain" challenge we won't see a cloud.

I purchased kenko extension tubes, and was incredibly excited that it started to get warm and the butterflies were coming out.

On days with no wind -- it's cold.

On warm, buggy days, it's been extremely windy! :(

Freeze that bug then put him back on the flower. Cheaters always win.

Yeah, I get that experience with trying to capture a good shot of a falcon or hawk in flight...as soon as I begin to whip out my camera they turn the other direction and fly away from me. It has happened EVERY - single - time. Been three years and counting of trying whenever I spot one. Nada.

I feel too guilty. I've tried it a couple of times in the fridge, and when they flop completely over I think I've kill them. I would then take them outside and try to set up the shot. They'd lay flopped over, and wouldn't be set up until they warmed up. As soon as they warmed up long enough to stand up, they immediately flew away!

Don't think I'll probably do it again. Too much guilt involved. :)

They have REALLY good eyesight and they HATE to have long, tubular things pointed at them. Can't say I blame them...

I figured out the best way to get my kids to pose for perfect pictures is to put the camera away.

I'm thinking about buying tranquilizer darts and gun. That way I can pose birds, animals, kids and adults any way I want.

You'll need amazing aim to hit a bee with those.
