Here's a link to an article about the photographer who did the formal portraits for the wedding. I like it that his mother (age 71 -- I can relate to that!) is part of his team.

"Extensive lighting and computer equipment" ... "also using stopwatches to ensure perfect timing".

Stopwatches?

Stopwatches?

All the cutting edge photographers have upgraded from hourglasses. ...yet there are some who still use sundials.

I'm guessing the stopwatches were for keeping track of the overall allocated time with them, as well as the allocated time for accomplishing each shot. Pretty clever, actually, in a situation like that. Clearly he did a LOT of preparation.

Yeah... For the flash powder :-) When they told the photg x minutes... I suspect they might have been held to that timeframe.

Yeah...I'm still not seeing how a stopwatch comes into play. :)

Ummmm... did anyone notice that the shots aren't that interesting? I expected something spectacular from a royal photographer...

I suspect the photog isn't allowed much creativity with "royal" photos... don't look for trash-the-dress photos anytime soon.

Not enough cowbell topaz.

Hmm...so they had 2 photographers then. I was watching part of the wedding and as Kate was getting in the car prior to going to the church, there was a female photographer doing the photos in and outside of the car, with an assistant tidying the dress. I wonder who she was?

Milly Pilkington

She was there at request of the couple to capture the day in a `reportage` style. She is a friend of the couple.

Ahh okies...hey another question...has anyone found the footage of the horse throwing the rider in the procession? I wanna see that again?

I saw that also Judi.
Only got a quick glimpse and they didn't discuss it at the time.
Ouch.

I'm waiting for DPC to rip apart the final photos.

Me too :-( For the record, I think they are VERY well done.

Agree with Rob 100% - you can`t go quirky on shots like these - beautifully arranged and the lighting is perfect. Great set of official shots - remember, these will be in the history books for a very long time. I daresay the arrangements were planned out way in advance.
