I can't believe how my entry placed but this is what I wanted to submit.

I'm surprised... The images more or less placed right where I felt they should... Not sure if I'm happy about that or dismayed, but I'll go with happy for now, let's hope that means I'm progressing in my understanding of what DPC voters are after... (yeah, right!)

ETA: There were also a good number of surprisingly well done images.

I gave your original an 8. However, I would have struggled between a 9 or 10 for this! Lovely (and congrats on the ribbon).

Agreed, I would have scored this higher, but your entry isn't bad at all, I just like this better.

I had thought to enter the Fine Arts challenge but decided not to push on the competition side but just enjoy what would come from creativity.

This is the result - the silhouette of the lizard was a happy accident.

Just something I played with, at the end decided to go with the original colors.

Entry

Outtake

I was driving one morning and happened upon this mannequin/ doll lying along the road. It had been painted on the face. I had to turn around, stop and capture some shots.

My entry was actually taken steps from the doll shot.
