I think I had a decent entry, but I don't think it will stay this high. You gotta love a strong start. :)

I know I am very confused did someone Hack DPC? Or was someone just really drunk when they wrote descriptions?

Just got hit by the trolls, but I am still liking my score. This is more what I thought it might be, now if it can just hold.:)

I thought mine was pretty good but apparently not.

I'll be honest – I gave no 10’s in this challenge (rarely do) but I feel this may be my highest scoring challenge so far. Some, no most, entries were very clever and well executed and this was a real pleasure to vote on.

You have rated 58 of 58 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 6.7241.

Only two shots voted below 5!

You should all be proud... except maybe the two below 5 ;-)

Having a hard time voting on this. A play on words to me doesn't illustrate a Photoshop term. Hmmmm Maybe I shouldn't vote.

I thought that was specifically what the challenge called for.

Actually it does. It says to find a creative way to display a photoshop term. There are some creative photos in the challenge that do just that.

I was able to vote on 24% of them - ones that to me actually illustrated a term by showing me something you do in Photoshop. I don't know why the silly ones bother me because I really do have a great sense of humor. LOL

Challenge description: "Find a creative way to illustrate Photoshop terms."

The key here is what is a "Photoshop term"?

I'd think that it applies to different things you can do in Photoshop; for example menu choices of various options available. First ones that come to mind are; Layers, Masks, Desaturate, Blur, Add Noise, etc... I use PSP so I'm not certain of all the "Photoshop" options.

FYI - I haven't looked at the challenge entries yet, so my apologies if I just stepped on some toes. :-)

For me, the challenge states:

"Find a creative way to illustrate Photoshop terms", not find a literal way.

So anything that either directly or indirectly relates to a photoshop term is withing bounds of the challenge.

I found both immages that were a play on words and that literally illustrated a photoshop term to be effective for this challenge, as long as they were done well.

As did I. I was very open with my voting on this one, think I had only 1 DNMC. The rest there was a very clear association with the Photoshop term.

Quite enjoyed voting on this one!

Actually, I think the ones that are the play on words fit the challenge perfectly. You're suppose to illustrate the term, not illustrate what that function does.

If I'm supposed to illustrate the term "sponge", I'd show a picture of a sponge. That would be illustrating the word. Desaturating a picture would illustrate what the term accomplishes in photoshop, not illustrating the actual term itself.

Now that I posted this, I have to go see if anyone used sponge and pick a different term if they did. :)

Though I would vote them equally as valid, I think the word play is actually a better fit to the challenge.

Besides, in look at the challenge suggestion thread, I think that's what the original post suggested. photoshop terms

Geesh! Now voters and submitters are supposed to look at an outside source to figure out what the Challenge description says / means?

I think they should link the challenge suggestion thread to the challenge description if that's the case.

So, I illustrated my photoshop term so well that I have been asked to submit proof that it has not been photoshop'ed; but yet my score is only 4.6

Go figure!!!!!!
