First of all, welcome (if you haven't already been).

Secondly, for those torn about what constitutes a "sentry", "watching over" as part of the sentry definition does NOT require that the subject be literally "standing over" its keep. In a situation such as this, where the word has many meanings, it would be unfair to vote an image down because it doesn't comply to YOUR strict definition - provided of course, that it does fit the definition somehow.

In the meantime, I'm headed for sub-5 territory. Interesting plant life down here...

I had a lot of fun with this shot. I won't say I'm not disappointed at it's current tank at 4.8. . .but, on the bright side, my last entry tanked at 4.3 and rose to 4.8 by the end of the week. . .if only I am so lucky on this one. . .LOL. And I got a comment . . .WOOO HOOO!!! The first time since I've been back that I've gotten a comment on the first day of voting.

Yes, in my short time here this has been the most weird voting pattern. Some kind of a revenge I guess. It seems that those who did not enter themselves for one reason or the other are having fun at our expense. But we will be ready when they are back.. Hehehe

I am amazed that there is not even one entry of the Statue of Liberty. That is a real famous sentinel.

There is one Statue of Liberty (not mine to be sure) which proves that on occasion we lose or ignore ignore unintentionally a few images.
