Whoever is voting this morning is not impressed. Does not look like anyone else in this thread is pulling in a high score either, so I would assume there are just some low voters out.

Not a terrible score, I'm thinking I might have picked the wrong entry. I do that a lot, second guess myself I mean.

I may as well have submitted a submarine for how quickly my photo is diving. If it stays at its current score it will be the lowest scoring in my portfolio. LOL. I seem to be getting worse at this, not better.

Back from being MIA for a long time. Trying to get my feet wet again. Not expecting much, but it was the best photo from my lunch break yesterday.

Down from 5.90... won't make it to 6.

The nice thing about a score that starts in the high 3's - low 4's is a 5 vote raises the average. Creeping up to a 5...can it make it?

Just curious, did anyone interpret this challenge as something "man-made" had to be 100 years old?

That was my primary interpretation of the spirit of the challenge, however the challenge description does not really say that, so landscapes are in for me, as long as the image is of something physically older than 100. But I am having a hard time deciding if an idea qualifies as fitting the challenge.

That was my interpretation as well, but, I am trying to enjoy other peoples interpretation of the challenge, as opposed to rating DNMC's. Unless it is obviously a shoe-horn. . .I am trying to judge primarily on merits of the image. Really like the pics being turned in for this challenge as a whole.

If you look at the first 100 year old challenge you will see that 100 years old is pretty open to interpetation. The description left it open to interpetation and as artist i am confused by narrow minded interpetations of many of these challenges. Some based on their challenge descriptions make it a little less open but ones like this challenge can have many different views.

Agreed, but if I look at the image without the title, and a reasonable description of the scene would not include something about the age of the subject, then I have to give it some more thought. I do not give a DNMC vote casually, but on the other hand, it's not a freestudy either.

Don't bother - even in something "man-made" LESS than 100 years old are materials older than 5 billions years and more ( since Big-Bang in fact ).
Even living beings , humans or not , are re-incarnated for the , God knows , how many cycles , obviously much more than 100 years.
This is a free challenge for sure!
