I still have my old crokinole board as well (looks exactly like that one).
And... Milbourne... Wow - this thread is starting to feel like the WayBack machine :O) |

Those came out looking really good. If you need a fixture to make sure the counter-bores for the tokens are centered, let me know. |

That's some excellent work! Very nice!
I've always wanted to make my own backgammon board in a similar manner. Not because one can't buy one, but just for the satisfaction of doing it myself. |

Oh, that's exactly why I did it. A fun project to have and to see if I can pull it off. Plus you then have something unique and I consider my Crokinole board to be a family treasure since my grandfather is now gone.
I took the board for its initial voyage yesterday. Three player game with my wife and 10-year-old. Ya, Caden won. He's a Settlers tour de force. Maybe we're too easy on him or something but that guy wins too often for a pre-teen. |
