Welcome to this week's "Member of the Week" post. Every week I will post the name of a member and a link to their profile. This will be our Member of the Week. Go have a look at their profile page and/or portfolio. Enjoy their photos, leave some comments and most of all post one or two of their photos in this thread so others can see them and enjoy them. If you like you can also write a little blurb saying why you enjoy this member's photos.
This week's Member of the Week is CJinCA. And here are a couple of her photos.

Hi CJ. I greatly enjoyed looking thru your work. As a sucker for shots of reflections in still water, the image that stands out for me is:
Simply lovely.

Thanks for the honor Karen! Unlike Bear_Music and your other Photographers of the Week, I don't feel I've been here long enough or participated enough to deserve the pick - heck, I've never even won a ribbon! :-)
Thanks Qiki, Snaffles and aliqui! |

Congratulations Carole! You very much deserve a week in the spotlight. I've seen you post some great images over the past couple of years or so I have been at DPC, and for a couple more years before that at other photography communities on the web. And you have always been a positive contributor wherever you have participated with not only great images posted but thoughtful commenting as well.
I'll add a couple more wonderful captures here to the bunch others have already posted.

Thanks JustCaree, tanguera and Brent_S! I've learned so much about photography, editing, and printing from participating here and have "met" a lot of very nice, helpful people since joining DPC. I hope I can return the favor to others. :-)

Thanks Scott and Janine!
Janine, I bought my quail eggs at a local craft store but I see you can get blown quail eggs on Amazon and sometimes you can get them at Farmers' Markets but you'd probably have to blow them out yourself.

Quail Eggs |
very stupid question...what are "blown quail eggs"? |

Janine, not a stupid question at all! If you don't want rotten eggs, you need to pierce the eggs on the top and bottom with a needle, making sure you break the yolk too, and then blow out the contents and rinse out the insides. I did that for a bunch of eggs like my broken Easter Egg in the shot of mine that Carrie posted. I just checked my quail eggs though and they were not blown out so somehow the eggs were dehydrated before I bought them. If you contact that farm that advertised those quail eggs, you might want to ask them if they have to be blown to be used for decorative purposes as I would think the hole would be too big on those tiny eggs. Hope that helps! :-) |
