Yes, a conundrum. My take was the same as Wendy's, that the challenge was a portrait without a face; an unportrait if you will.

I worked hard on the essence part, as I can tell many people did. Yes, it's a different kind of portrait (and difficult to shoot) but I'm still finding many of this interpretation very rewarding.
There's a lot to think about here. |

It is an obvious struggle among the voters that can't decide if a "Portrait from behind" is a portrait with or without a face .I will not mention anymore the meaning of clothed / not clothed which is another struggle. |

well, i'm in the "interpreted challenge as no face" group and seem to be not doing as well as i'd thought because of it.

I assumed it was like the "self portrait without people" chalenge. portrait doesn't have to mean faces in dpcland :)
I'm looking forward to seeing the photos. I may be able to forum painfully on a kindle, but the pictures don't look like anything on it. hmmm... may be fun to vote this way! |
