That's mine. I didn't think it'd do well, since there isn't anything special about it. But, I like it for some reason. I just had a feeling no one else would.
So I went with something else. I probably made the wrong decision as it's sitting at a 4.333 currently. Oh well. |

I like the pansies picture quite a bit. It's composed very nicely and would've scored well with me. :)
And Movieman, well, while it fits for color I'm not sure it would've done that great and based on your portfolio (you've got alot of excellent shots) you probably wouldn't have wanted this one on your permanent record anyway. ;-) |

I have to confess, there isn't a lot to grasp on to accept the color. I do rather like the shadows created by the folds. If there had been a bit more dramatic lighting it might actually have worked for me. It makes me curious what you did enter. Of course, I'm no barometer of how well a photo will do on DPC. My top picks often place far lower than I feel they should.
I didn't have too many purple outtakes but here are a couple.

hmm, this is funny. would definitely make purple from some of us and those who get it.
My purple outtake? Did not submit it cause I feel that the composition is weak and the lighting is flat. These are purple stones bought from Kitchen Plus and then placed on a lightbox. My entry is something totally different from this one.
Don't know how voters would rate this. My current entry is at 6.1875 after 32 votes and will likely dive to 5.6 or something close.
BTW, I didn't enter the last 6 or 7 challenges and just now noticed the three items in the stat box, views, favorites, and wish list. That's pretty neat.

I ran out of time to submit. -_- My boyfriend and I were going to his house to eat dinner and watch the fireworks, so I tried to do some editing in the short time I could stop home...Not enough. *sighs*
Edit: Removed picture for various reasons, will replace eventually. ^^;;

For once I think I actually made the right decision as which to submit:
Here are some of the subject I didn't submit. my other outtakes are of the same thing I did submit so I won't post them.
Its amazing, this is the first challenge where I've actually been genuinely happy about my entry, and the score is doing well too!!! This week I am going to get NO work done whatsoever
