yep, I think the 'suggests' entries are going to be the most interesting. But maybe I am biased since all my ideas have been suggesting purple.

Please avoid cross-posting. Most people hit the recent threads from the front page anyway.

You whisper - very subtly, quietly... Try not to shout "PURPLE!!!!" Hmmmm.. maybe a touch of violet, or an off-red that only hints of purple, but doesn't really say it? ..;-)

I thought about shooting a barber pole because of the red and blue, maybe leaving the shutter open so they could blend into purple, but I didn't. Something red and blue would be a nice way to suggest purple, but I agree with Shannon that it would probably handicap the photo.

This may be one of the few challenges where purple fringing is a GOOD thing. ;-)

There are alot of folks who don't read the discription, so look forward to a low score if there is no purple in it.

I for one am playing it safe.

He thinks only Sony camera's have trouble with purple fringing, a purple edge between very high contrast area's...... although I must admit that the F828 seems to have more than other digital camera's.

it's good that this thread is being pushed to the forefront so everyone can check it out b4 the voting starts. Excuse me for being pessimist, but I think the shots that will suggest purple, along with the firework shots & flowers shot, will suffer in the voting.

I still have to choose my shot but I will not submit the shot I took that suggests purple for this reason. Just my opinion
