This is a fun one! Wait till you see the one I have - it's purple!
LOL

Hmm, this could be tough...
Mine is purple too, perhaps I should reshoot it?

Looks like we have a tie.

You want to see my reject for purple?

I did not want to enter it, because I like to enter Photo's and not almost digital made pictures that just don't go against the rules.

What I have send in will score 100% lower the this, but it's real!

But I am intrested if this would have scored...

I suspect that one would have been disqualified for going against the "spirit" of the rules.

I have had to dubble up on my meds from all the stess this challenge is givin me i cant think of a thing for this one.
07/03/2004 01:22:35 PM · #8
Why?
The clock in the middle is real, only the background is a computer monitor...
07/03/2004 01:28:26 PM · #9
You would not have been DQd. It doesn't look like you did anything illegal. There are no rules that say you can't use a monitor as your background. The clock is purple also. It isn't as if you just shot a picture of purple on your monitor.
I think it is a clever idea and the photo looks great. It's too bad you already showed it to us. I don't generally like 'clever' but when it works, it works.

I was thinking, am I here to please the eye of the voter, or to make photo's and learn from it...

You'll see, after the votes I will end up somewhere in the middle with my somewhere in the middle photo :)
07/03/2004 02:14:01 PM · #11
As long as you requested an Admin note after voting started and had your original validated, you would have been fine. Probably would have scored quite well, too, although Pooh is a little too cute for some voters.

Pooh cute?
I don't think so...

I'm so annoyed. I can't get my photo stay purple while remaining in the 150kb size.

It is purple, but it's not like a popping out purple, which it is before having make it so small.

I'm ready! Had to reshoot because when I double checked the date on my original exposure my camera had somehow been reset to 2002 instead of 2004! But the reshoot came out better anyway! ;)

Your reluctant DQ crew thanks you! Hmmm ... I think my camera was displaying the right date when I reviewed some pictures earlier ...

I was just thinking the same thing about my camera.

Wouldn't that be embarrassing if the "reluctant dq crew" had to dq their own pictures for bad dates. 8\

Me, too, Rooster. I really like my picture, and will probably print it, though I don't expect too high (or high at all) score.

Would probably set a good example :) Maybe I'll volunteer with a shot from Isaac's camera ... its dates go bad pretty often.

I thought of an idea as soon as the challenge ended. Doh!

My idea would be to recreate the 'bubble gum girl' scene in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Right, like I could do that ;)
