Thanks! I've been lurking, and had a lot of fun dabbling in the camera phone side challenge in Sept. But it is good to be in a FS again. Curse the Update button. It owns me again!

my 50 vote mark:

I've found that usually about this point the score doesn't change more than .2 so Pretty much know where my score is based on what I've observed.

Gone down some from yesterday's high in the 6.7 range, but nothing to complain about. 6.48 at the moment.

sitting at 6.55 then someone scores obviously a 1 so i drop and they say my photo "does not meet challenge"......??? How does that work for Free Study you Dork?

I see the 1 bomber is making the rounds. I got mine delivered late last night. I figure a couple of things may be going on when this happens:

-Somebody is tactically voting down the entries they think are their main competition,
-They are bitter over their own doing poorly and are being spiteful.
-They are just having some fun dropping 1-bombs and watching the fun ensue in the scores thread.

Now, if I get an occasional 2 or 3 on an image like this, I figure I have eye candy that is unmoving to a certain crowd and this is simply their default vote for something that does not engage them. This is expected.

@ dougi555: LOL!! I know what you mean. Apparently "free" doesn't mean the same the world over. Photographically speaking. Don't want any can of worms opening, especially around here...

@ yo-spiff: Other possible motivations for 1-votes: contact lenses in backwards; haven't cleaned keyboard in a while and it's the only # that still works; thought 1 was the high vote...

I'm not posting my actual score, as not to jinx it. Let's just say that my last 10 votes have averaged a 6.0000 and that has made me very, very (very) sad.

I've been on a very steady, very painful decline. It was strong in the 6.6s earlier on, but not feeling much love for quite awhile now. It's too bad, because I'm very attached to this shot. Hopefully it will stay above six... ?
