LoL... I was just playing Madden 11 on PS3. I broke a run for a 40 yard touchdown and when the replay popped up, there in the corner of the endzone was one of the sideline photographers CHIMPING... I'm soooo pissed... He totally missed my 40 yard run... He's just standing there Chimping while I'm throwing down a game breaking play... I know this game is a simulation, but I think they are going alittle overboard :P

LOL... Yep, they are definitely taking this far too seriously.. ;)

hehehe!

Seriously, though! All of these chimping threads has got me completely paranoid! Every time I change the settings through the menu (using the back of the camera) or the quick set (also on the back of the camera), I'm paranoid that people think I'm chimping in the middle of the game or the wedding or whatever.

lol. The simulation was consistent with the current times. You see, back in the days when i was playing Double Dribble (or was it a different title) in my ancient NES machine, after every dunk, there would be an instant replay, and you could see a lot of flash photography goin on. Flash photography is not allowed in actual games, i believe, but it shows that during a spectacular sports action, photographers during those days don't chimp around. That's because lcd previews were not yet invented then :)

Figured I'd throw in alittle proof... LOL

There he is, right by the endzone pillar... CHIMPING... and missing out on a big play..

Here's another...

Guy on the far right in the background... Chimping away...

Video of some DPC Ribbon winners chimping.

It's an important part of digital photography.

Well, it was a good play against the Seahawks! So, really, was it a good play after all? :)

Is this game a symptom of our failing society? ;-)

Well, they should have it covered by levying $75,000 virtual fines for head-to-head contact on the game. :)

Honestly? Why not just go with the flow, and increase the realism just a bit further by allowing you the freedom to go over to the sidelines and rip the guy's testicles off and feed them to him in front of everyone.. And then the game could generate a ton of news coverage, and tabloid reports, fines, prison terms, etc... Hell there could even be a side game that takes place in prison, where you have to escape from the shower room "intact"... Could probably even use the same physics engine, thereby reducing development costs.

Man, I should totally work for a game company, this stuff just flows like water...

There was a brawl at a game near my house last week where players ran into the stands and beat on fans. It would be cool to incorporate that too!

they would have only gotten pics of your ass anyway. They are too far( at the other end of the field) to get any good publishable shots. Why waste disc space. :)

Plus Alex Smith? Why would anyone bother? :)

How realistic is that game if it doesn't have any pageant contestants ESPN reporters on the sidelines?
