I'll see that and raise you the IS version. My favorite prime. Really my only prime for the 5D, though, unless you count the lensbaby. Which lives in penny's bag right now...

Ooops, I left out the IS! 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro, let's not ignore the macro! 38 of my entries this year have been with this lens. Great focal length, and the DOF allows for some funky abstracts. |

Mine is not broke yet. Those lenses are very fragile I heard, so I am always keeping it in bubble wrap, even when I use it (almost). That's my best lens as of now. |

Canon's 100 mm f/2.8 macro. Portraits, bokeh and macros from heaven. |

I thought that too... Until I tried the 200 f/2.8... Now, where CAN I find an extra $800.....???
Seriously though, as a $ per performance issue? The 100 f/2.8 is a KILLER prime as well... |

Do you think you can spot the difference between
24mm f1.8 Sigma (Set at 2.8)
24mm Canon EF 24mm f/1.4 L USM II (Set at 2.8)
and Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM (Set at 24mm) |

After a very long wait and hours of nagging I know owned a Nikon 600mm f4 - and I LOVE IT. Exceeds my expectation. I love it so much it is not heavy at all... |
