The results of the 'Under-' challenge have been recalculated, due to the disqualification of the former 1st place image for both shooting in RAW and cropping, both of which are not permitted in Minimal Editing. Congrats to our new ribbon winners!

I had to read and reread the rules to make sure I was following them. The NO CROPPING stood out to me very clearly and caused some issues for me while shooting, but I did it. (I was actually in the OVER challenge) Let's hope minimal editing is only used minimally in future challenges. : )

Nooooooooooooooo. I didn't enter this one because of time constraints and uninteresting subject matter (to me) but want to in the not too distant future.

I guess I'm one of the few that likes the minimal editing. Bring some purity back into the work.

20 DQ's between the 2 challenges. Wow!

Why is it so difficult for people to wrap their minds around NOT editing a photo?

People don't actually READ the details of challenges. They *assume* "It's an exclusive open, Basic Editing applies." Every time they run the exclusive opens with Advanced Rules, we hear from people who "didn't realize" it was not basic. Only difference is, THOSE people undershoot the mark and don't get penalized.

It's a shame... because it's actually a photo that could have been successful under Min. Ed. rules, with just a little more prep from the photographer.
