| Well... I did manage to take some last minute photos for Rusted, just in case I do happen to win the Still Life challenge, however, given my utter disgust with how they've turned out, I wont be entering Rusted (am about the unsubmit my entry)... I'm not keen to score sub 4s... been there, done that. :( |

I know, right? You have to ask yourself, do I want this in my portfolio? I did just shoot - but shoot. It's not pretty. |

Usually if I shoot for a challenge, I enter it even if it won't do well. I don't expect much out of mine, but my average has dropped a chunk recently anyway, so what the heck. However, I have had a few that are just so bad that there's no point! :)

Doing well at 0.3517 over my average. I got my Rusted shot in. It has some flaws as always,.. we'll see....Lol

I've moved up a bit since my last post to +0.1625. But with only about 1.5hrs to go I can't see me reaching you unless I get heaps and heaps of 10's (just took a another quick look at my score - nah, not going to happen). Entered a rust shot that I know will get slammed and I have no expectations of it reaching my average. Why even enter it I hear you ask? Well, I'm not really sure except I like it and maybe, some one else out there might like it too. Anyway, good luck and I'll be following your progress during the week of voting.

Thanks, Michelle :) Early indications on my Rusted entry are not favorable... but with three votes, it is (fortunately at this point) hard to tell much of anything! |

Not sure how my rusted entry will do, it was rushed, as I was call out to fight a forest fire.
it started raining yesterday, and we where able to return home.

Congratulations to all those who made it through the first round. There were a few non-submissions but in many cases the other photographer beat their own average. Only one match had no submission from either photographer and so the highest current average rule was invoked. To avoid a really long post, the full results are given in the spreadsheet (capture link) at the bottom of the post. Only the winner's names arranged as new matches (for Rusted II) are given below:

Thanks I've corrected that. it reads wrongly on the spreadsheet too, though I think (hope) I captured the right starting average. I got them all directly from the username links in this thread. I took screen captures too so I can double check when I get back to my computer later (on a mobile device now).
The right username will be on the Round 2 sheet.
