shameless bump...

I hate not being able to tell how good something looks.. esp when you don't know much about lighting and such..

I THINK THAT IS A GOOD WORK EVEN I FIND THE LIGHT A LITTLE TOO FLAT, I'D LIKE TO SEE MORE CONTRAST, IT'S A MAN NOT A FASHION MODEL...

on the first one i'd like to see the boy more to the right of the frame...

sorry, caps lock inserted!

I like them - the blue shirt was a good choice. For me, his head is tilted just a tiny bit too much in #2 & #7. Very nice shoot!

That's a very cool start. Nice lights, nothing wrong with any of them. I checked your page too, your photos have very nice compositions.

I really like your portraits.. thanks for the compliment. On some of yours where the light is so bright in the middle, do you have a light pointing in the center of the backdrop or did you vignette the photo after taking it on a white backdrop? I need to figure all that out.. I took one recently with a child with an older flash on a flash adapter, with a red gel on, pointed at the back, but it didn't come out large enough or something. (Photo)

Thanks

I think its the stark whiteness of the photo. When I bought my backdrop supplies, a friend suggested the paper rolls from B&H, I got one in black and one in white. The white is very bright. I need some muslin's....

It's vignette after shot. Thanks for the comments :)
