Greetings all,

Is there anything I can do with this shot? I like the composition, and just wish I had a better camera back then.
It was done with my first digital (Sony Mavica FD-88 1.3MP)

Life Under Glass

(Original version)

Rural Decay
This one is from an old horse barn nearby.
I haven't made up my mind to frame or not to frame...

TIA

(Did I actually upload a 3 year old 1.3MP shot to this site?)
LOL

I thought they looked a bit soft. :-)

I've commented on your Rural Decay shot.

I think I like the color one better than the BW...the title is Life Under Glass, and the color brings out a bit more "life" and detail. I like the perspective. I LOVE the Rural Decay shot...comments left! :o)

Your talent shows in that you were able to do so well with a 1.3 MP camera! That is a fantastic shot and subject matter; you can't go back? Anyway, I also like the color better, although I think a sharp B & W of just the tunnel would be a fun shot to have also. But as Laurie pointed out, with the glass view being the focus -- the color really works. I think Rural Decay is stunning, and that your application of the B & W perfect for the subject.

EDIT: That was my "idiot" question for the day! Sorry - I didn't take notice of your location and where the shot was taken until after I posted this, so of course, you can't easily go back. Treasure to shot you have all the more!

I have to agree - the Under Glass foto does benefit from color. Very interesting composition and proof that you don't have to have the "best-of-the-best" equipment to capture a good image.

Rural Decay is a good example of how texture can really make a photograph. Good job on both!
